Montenegro (Crna Gora) is a republic (with Serbia) of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. When socialist Yugoslavia disintegrated in 1991, Montenegro was the only republic that chose to remain with Serbia in the new truncated federation. Montenegro is economically not well developed.
