In-depth project country information:
- In a whirlwind three days in August 2008, WiRED opened Medical Information Centers (MICs) in Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador. Ribbon cutting ceremonies at the three new MIC openings brought out doctors, nurses, hospital administrators and many celebrants from the local communities.
- Dedicated a Medical Information Center at the Centro de Salud de Sutiava Clinic in 2004.
- Dedicated the first Community Health Information Center at the University of Leon Medical School in 2003.
- Collaborated with the Polus Center and Walking Unidos to install and operate 20 computers in the Ben Linder Cybercafe in 2001 to provide free prosthetics to land-mine victims and those with other mobility disabilities.
