When ARVs Are Gone

Following the abrupt suspension of U.S. funding for antiretroviral medicines in early 2025, people living with HIV (PLHIV) in low-resource communities were left without access to life-saving treatments. This has yielded a surge in both physical and mental health crises.

WiRED Takes Action

In response, WiRED’s teams quickly developed an evidence-based, peer-reviewed, training series specifically designed to equip community health workers—those trained by WiRED and by all other organizations—with practical tools to address the immediate needs of people living with HIV.

Training Modules Available Now

WiRED’s free, instantly accessible training modules are now available globally, offering community health workers vital guidance in managing the health and well-being of PLHIV with limited resources. While these tools cannot replace the essential medicines, they provide critical support and some relief to affected individuals and the health workers caring for them, highlighting WiRED’s commitment to compassionate assistance in the face of devastating funding cuts.
